Welcome, and thanks for visiting to download the See The Failure add-on for Firefox.
The idea for this add-on came from one called See The Opportunity, which changed the word crisis to opportunity. I thought it would be a good idea to have one that did something similar to change Fianna Fáil to Fianna Failure.
Thanks to John Keyes who developed the add-on in record time.
Once installed, the add-on will automatically change Fianna Fáil to read Fianna Failure. It will also change instances of Brian Cowen to Biffo.
Instructions on how to install the add-on are shown below. I’ve done testing on 4 separate computers running Firefox (PC’s) and none of them exploded but you should be aware that installation of the add-on is entirely at your own risk.
Step 1.
Download the add-on installation file (xpi) HERE.
When Firefox prompts you, select “Open with” and choose Firefox as the application you wish to open the file with. Your system will normally already have associated XPI files with Firefox, so the screen below is what you should now see.

Step 2.
Firefox downloads the add-on file and will ask you to confirm if you wish to install it. Click on “Install Now”.

Step 3.
Once the add-on has been installed, Firefox needs to restart. Confirm this by clicking “Restart Firefox”

Step 4.
Another box will appear asking you to confirm the restart of Firefox. Click “Restart”

Step 5.
When Firefox restarts you will see a box showing that See The Failure has been installed.

Step 6 – You’re done!
Browse the internet as normal and See The Failure right on screen every time Fianna Fáil is mentioned.
As with all Firefox add-ons, you can disable/enable See The Failure at any time by selecting Tools/Add-ons.
If you want to stick a button on your blog or website to show you’ve installed the add-on, you can download them over on pix.ie – here’s what they look like.

Update – 11th May
Oliver Moran has created an add-on called Tweedledum and Tweedledee which you can download here
