Check out the Dublin 1916 – Then and Now page on Facebook. It’s a real treat for history lovers. Lots and lots of images from 1916 with corresponding photographs taken from same location today.
I took the liberty of creating a composite of two of the images of Georges Quay/Tara street then and now as I’ve been doing similar with images from Wicklow that I’ve found.

Em…. I made that image you have posted above for the Dublin 1916 FB Page.
It would be nice if you credited me for my work.
Disregard previous comment. It is not the same composite image, but close.
Apologies, but I am finding my work all over the web, posted without my permission.
You did a good job on it by the way
Hi Marc,
I created the image (and maybe one other one) in May, well before you started creating images regularly on the Facebook page. I only say that lest there be any impression that I saw your composite and subsequently did my own version of it. In all honesty though, if someone took an image from my site and didn’t credit it and weren’t using it commercially, I wouldn’t get my knickers in a twist (that’s assuming I even noticed or went searching in the first place)..
AJ
No worries AJ. It’s just I’m getting emails every week from people about stuff of mine appearing all over the web, very frustrating
believe it or not, I came across a guy in a market in Dublin recently, selling prints of work I’d done for the Dublin City Archive @ 30Euros a pop. He downloaded them, and crudely removed the Archive watermark.
Anyway, best of luck.
