For flip sake – Aer Lingus are confusing the Americans

The Cliffs of Moher as we all know and love them

The Cliffs of Moher as seen on the Aer Lingus website.

Seriously like. Why does the web graphics person think it’s ok to flip an iconic scene like this? It’s even worse then they horizontally flip a persons face for the web or newspaper. It just looks weird…

Maybe there’s something psychological in advertising about placing faces to the left-side of an image? Something to do with looking forward as opposed to backwards. I could just be talking sh1te though, I’ve no idea.

Possible that they were taken from the other end?

Might also be because they have been A/B testing the images and found that the Americans view Ireland as a country to the East/Right and this converts better for them.

Could be something in that alright K8.

Heh – the “fall” bit and cliff juxtaposition totally passed me by A Hive.

It’s definitely flipped Dave – the view looking the other way doesn’t stretch as far. It wouldn’t have entered my mind that there was more to it (re split testing ) good point.
