		<description>According to someone I spoke to in Dublin City Council they had a message from the PR  department to say that a new app will be launching in the next 2 weeks....whats the bets Decaux launch their own app and charge for it !!!!</description>

		<description>Hope they don&#039;t start squashing everything - as you say, public space on the streets was graciously provided to these people in the first place - really silly of them to demonise anyone who re-uses the data.</description>

I think that as a general guiding principle, services such as this that were paid for with public money, and are for the public, ought to make their data public &amp; resuable also to foster innovation. In the case of dublinbikes.ie the data is public but it seems that its re-use is frowned upon.</description>
