Good evening, here is the RTE News read by Sharon Ni Bheoláin. AAAAHHH my eyes, my eyes

According to today’s Irish Daily Mail, RTE received comments from viewers about Sharon Ni Bheoláin reading the news on 12th September.

The comments came from 2 viewers who said her top was "too shiny" and was distracting them from the news. The image above is a digitally enhanced version of Sharon’s top which simulates how the two sensitives eyed viewers might have seen it.

RTE said they would take the comments of the two magpies on board. They also vowed not to make drastic changes to Sharon Ni Bheoláin’s wardrobe any time soon. This totally scuppers the rumour that RTE were going to launch a late night "News in the Nip" where Sharon would definitely have been a highlight. Wondering who really rang up though. Could it have been some jealous newsroom colleagues of Sharon’s one wonders?

And now for some news of a pedantic nature. I really really wish RTE would actually have the Nine news AT nine o’clock. Sign of sloppy standards if you can’t keep time for the nation.
