Avondale House & Forest Park – a great spot for a Sunday afternoon family day out. It’s a 20 minute drive from Wicklow Town, and was a place my parents took my brothers, sister and I on many occasions.

We always did something on a Sunday. It never involved going to shopping centres , cinemas or anything like that which seems to be choice nowadays. It was always somewhere outdoors (weather permitting of course) and involved a picnic.
