Swine Flu – coming to a bus near you real soon
By
Strongly considering going back to car usage for work travel due to all the swine flu talk and the fact 1 million clinical cases could be seen in Ireland. Sitting in the same enclosed space every morning and evening with 40 other people is causing me some discomfort. Every sneeze and cough is amplified into "Oh my god, he/she might have swine flu".
I handle money all day at work as well. Yesterday a particularly sweaty individual handed me a €20 note which was damp from her sweaty palms. I couldn’t get to water and soap quick enough as my hands felt unclean. I immediately sought out the nearest chemist and bought some of that disinfectant gel which I now use after every monetary transaction. OCD much? Perhaps – but I’m not taking any chances.
Mask above made thanks to Sam Hill Design in the UK who has a downloable mask template. Hours of fun for the kids on a rainy summers afternoon.

AJ, it’s awful, and I should be ashamed of myself, but this swine flu thing really does bring out the worst sneering in me. Either you’ll get or you won’t. There is no hiding behind a mask or in your own car. Just think Clint Eastwood, say in “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” and what he would do: Just shoot it (whilst smoking a cigarillo).
As to obsessive compulsive hand washing – watch that one: It might become a habit.

I’m with Ursula on this one. Remember some people already had it and didn’t even know! Take precautions but don’t become paranoid. You might be worrying about something that may never happen.

True, probably am being a bit over the top – reading too many news reports about the whole thing is the problem
