Tree Stump of Limerick Tee Shirt – Make Your Own
By
Being the totally lazy blogger that I am, it helps when a story surfaces that spurs me into action.
The Stump of Limerick has provided me with enough motivation to write a blog post and provide a valuable service to those who have visited the unofficial shrine.
It’s a pop art style design to which you can add your own message and then get it put on a tee shirt yourself.
The design is on ebay for €1.01
Buy it now.

Dear Mr. Craic
I am writing to you on behalf of Virgin Mary Franchises.
It has come to our attention you have recently been critical of one of our new franchise outlets in Limerick. The Stump is part of a new line of products by Virgin Mary Franchises meant to fill a gap in the market for small local spiritual outlets in much the same way Tesco local shops do for groceries.
Virgin Mary franchises have a long and very successful history in business. We have a proven track record in the area of regional tourism promotion through what we call in the industry “air sales”.
A Virgin Mary franchise contains the perfect range of products to create tourism in areas which otherwise have no obvious attractions. Our product has many unique features making it the number one tourism promotional vehicle far out stripping any of our rivals. For example child labour is not only allowed but encouraged. A suitably trained devotee can be ready and fully indoctrinated to the “visionary stage” by only six years of age. There is no initial capital outlay as a local stable, rock, cave or hill is almost always sufficient. Start ups can take advantage of market conditions by being free to choose areas where land costs are low allowing good prospects for future expansion. At this time we have successful outlets in Knock, Fatima, Medjugorje, Guadalupe, Lourdes, La Salette, Pontmain, Beauraing, and Banneux with new outlets coming on stream constantly. As you will see with the Stump we have now begun a vertical penetration of the market and other products now include Virgin Mary toast, paint stains and in fact almost anything even vaguely similar in shape or outline to the image of the VM.
Add on products are inexpensive and can be produced locally. Water (reconstituted tap) is one of our great sellers and we carry a large range of suitable containers which can be customised to your specifications. We also have a large selection of medals, trinkets, candles, tea bags, towels, window lights and cushions and much, much more.
We would at this point expect you to cease and desist from any derogatory misrepresentations of our products forthwith and immediately pass on any royalties and/or income already earned from our Stump outlet or suffer serious legal consequences.
Mr. Joe Carpenter
