Win the Coke Cities Posters and lots more goodies

Way way back in May of last year, I wrote a post about the Coke Side of Dublin posters. I thought then, and still think now, that they are the coolest posters ever and a great advertising campaign to boot. I still get lots of hits to the site from people searching for the poster. I even went to the rounds of making one myself as they weren’t available for love nor money.

Delighted to learn that is is now possible to actually get your hands on a bona-fide, honest to goodness, Coca Cola endorsed poster via a competition currently running on the Coca Cola Open Happiness Bebo page. It’s not only the posters that can be won though – there is also phone credit, Wii’s and the lovely iPod Touch as well.

How do you win? It’s simply a matter of exploring the Eboy inspired illustrations of Cork, Galway, Dublin or Belfast. The prizes are hidden somewhere in each city – all you have to do is find them. Right now there are 412 prizes left, so your chance of bagging something has to be pretty good.

You can also increase your chance of winning by following Coke Cities Ireland on Twitter.  I was staggered to learn on Friday that I had won an iPod Touch by being one of their first 200 followers on Twitter!

So you’re reading this and thinking that the only reason for me posting is the fact I won something. Well, you’d be wrong  I’d intended to do a blog post about the competition due to the fact that so many people come to this site looking for them and might not be aware of the current competition. The unexpected win gave me the kick I needed to get my blogging hat on again!

Good luck with the competition and to the Coca Cola people – thanks for the iPod Touch – last time I won anything in a competition was on Poparama on Radio 2. The prize on that occasion was the Trivial Pursuit board game (which I still have some xx number of years later!)
