Xtravision iPhone Application
By aj@lecraic
It’s like Xtravision read my mind or something. Was down in the local store a few weeks back and decided to get one of the 3 film rental deals. Haven’t been keeping up with what’s good or bad in the world of film and found myself calling up The Internet Movie Database on the iPhone to get ratings and read some reviews. I just thought to myself it would great if Xtravision had an application for the iPhone which did something similar.
Then what do I see last night on the “coming soon” page of the Xtravision site – an iPhone Application! And pretty much a lot of the things I thought of:
Database of films, trailers, reviews, ratings, store stock information, recommendations etc. – and free WiFi in store to make browsing and downloading a lot quicker. There is great potential for this application and can’t wait until it is released. No word on the Xtravision site about when that might be but I’ll be keeping a close eye out for it.
And yes, they have got the name of the U2 album wrong – “No Line of the horizon” – was going to email them but, meh, just like the album.

Wishful thinking. Nice idea, but wishful thinking.
