And the winner of the 3D Poster is…
ByRan a competition a few weeks ago to win a superb signed poster of Edgar Mueller’s 3D artwork which was painted in Dun Laoghaire during the Festival of World Cultures.
There were 3 questions to be answered
1. How many photographs were taken by Edgar while the project was in progress?
2. How much paint (in litres) did Edgar use to paint the work?
3. What is the actual, real life, size of the painting?
The answers are
1. 1800 Photographs !
2. 120 Litres of paint
3. 240 Square meters
There were 4 entries to the competition. I took all of the answers and for each question, gave 10 points to 1st place, 5 points to 2nd place, 3 points to 3rd place and 1 point to 4th place.
After running through the answers 1st time round, Eolai and Tom both scored 18 points, Jennifer had 16 points and Sandy had 14 points.
Looking now at Tom and Eolai’s guesses
Tom :
1. 40 photos.
2. 140 litres of paint
3. I’d say that the painting is 20 metres x 50 metres
Eolai:
1. 60 Photos
2. 31 Litres
3. 252.3 Square Metres
Eolai was closest on 2 of the questions and therefore Eolai is the winner.
Congratulations! My head is spinning after all that.
