Share your St. Patrick’s Festival experience with the world

There are competitions and then there are COMPETITIONS. Never mind the capital C, this one deserves all the other capitals too.

Ireland’s very own photo sharing website, Pixie, has teamed up with the St. Patrick’s Festival to capture the spirit of the event in photographs.

Everyone who attends the festival events between 12th and 19th March is being asked to contribute their photographs to the special section of the Pixie website. In so doing, the world can view the festival from the eyes of those taking part and see Ireland at play as we celebrate our heritage and culture.

To add some extra Shamrock to all of this, Pixie have also arranged a superb haul of prizes for the best photographs from the event sponsored by Canon. The total value of the prizes being offered is €1,800 and here is what YOU could win by taking part.

  • 1st Prize – Canon EOS 1000D digital SLR camera, Selphy ES3 photo printer, 150 Euro photography training course, additional memory card and photo printing paper. Total value €1,050
  • 2nd Prize – Canon Powershot E1 digital camera and Selphy ES3 photo printer. Total Value €480
  • 3rd Prize – Selphy ES3 photo printer. Total Value €240

So… how to take part?

  1. Check the St. Patrick’s Festival Website for a list of events
  2. Go to the events with your camera
  3. Take loads of lovely photographs
  4. Upload your photographs to Pixie

It’s worth taking part anyway. Even without the competition, this is a great way to share your experience of the festival and let the world see Ireland at its best.
