Ah, life is short when you put it like that.

Well, AJ. I don’t want to spoil the fun, and be my usual nitpicking self: But FOUR bottles? Firstly it doesn’t take account of people like Felix who, having had the wholesome pleasure of breast only, till he was old enough to hold a water filled beaker, never had a “bottle”. (Though it appears that at age 17 he is making up for lost time).

Thinking about your image, AJ, (and it is a good one) it sparks a few ideas in my head: How to measure a life in bottles. OH MY GOD! There is obviously the Perrier and Evian mountain, crates of beer bottles to be recycled (not in my case, I don’t drink beer), not to mention empty clear, green and brown wine bottles. In fact, it’s quite shocking when you think about it. First it all gets bottled and corked, consumed only for our liver and kidneys to work overtime, consequently eliminated, and then you are left with a mountain of glass. I’ll stop now before this train of thought carries me further on a wave of Dom Perignon.

Cheers, Prost, Sante, Cin Cin, Salute, Schol, Zum Wohl,
U – Hope to meet you before we are on No 4 (the drip)
