Nothing like a big arse to put a smile on your face
By
This put a smile on my face yesterday. Yes, it’s Naked Cowboy’s arse. He normally struts his stuff on the mean streets of New York posing with tourists and playing the guitar. He took a break from the Big Apple this weekend to help promote Irish Entrepreneur’s “You can do anything” competition.
The magazine is launching a start your own business magazine and they want suggestions for a name. There is the possibility of bagging a cool €250,000 for coming up with the winning entry. It’s subject to terms and conditions etc. but it’s all in a good cause as the ISPCC will get the profits from subscriptions on the website.
The Irish Daily Mail featured the story on Page 5 and wondered what was the point of associating the Naked Cowboy with the entrepreneurial idea of the magazine. The founder of the magazine said :
“The motivation of this campaign is very simple – to offer business people something positive amidst the doom and gloom whilst helping a worthy charity”
I agree and think it’s a PR job well done. We DO need more of the can do attitude of our American cousins – either fully clothed or in underpants!
I couldn’t find one single image of the Naked Cowboy in Dublin to use for this post. Although Flickr has loads of them, they are all rights reserved.
It’s a wonder that PR companies don’t have a Flickr or a Pix.ie account to post images from photoshoots so us bloggers have stuff to put in our posts.

Great picture Lecraic
I was starting to get my brain in gear there for the competition to name the mag. Sadly though
“To enter the competition, you must subscribe. Subscription costs €100.”
€100! Er no thanks…my magazine-naming abilities ain’t that good.

It’s steep enough alright, but it’s a magazine I often pick up so I might just take the plunge.
