Maybe I do need Omega 3
ByA simple advert on the back page of a free newspaper had me confuzzled all week.
Visualise this if you will:
A pack of dairy spread with added Omega 3 for brainpower. The brain enhancing capabilities of said compound are a bit flaky but that’s for another day.
Above the pack of butter is a an arrow pointing to the left.
Above the arrow are the words “Become annoyingly good at this”.
So I’m looking at the arrow wondering is it some reference to a mathematical equation I should know or maybe the ability to draw a perfectly straight line?
I conclude it’s just a bad advertisement and there’s something missing.
Yes, that has to be it.
So I decide to show someone:
“Hey, look at this ad – can you figure it out. I just don’t get it.”
It was only as I looked at the paper in their hands that it clicked.
The arrow was pointing to a set of Sudoku puzzles.
Ad fail or brain dead? Hmm, I just don’t know

AJ, I don’t know about spreads and Soduko’s charm has so far escaped me. But as one who is from the generation of a table!spoon full of sweetened codliver oil administered every morning I can’t extoll virtues of Omega 3 enough. I am still standing!
Lucky Felix gets same now in pill form washed down with a most refreshing hydrating glass of water. Though, of course, he is most sceptical at this his mother’s last stance on some sort of parental authority, neither would I dream of claiming that they have anything to do with his sailing through school and college with shockingly good grades.
As I keep saying “It’s all in the jeans/genes/greens, mackerel and herring” (Sardines stink out the house).
