Wispa T-Shirt for the ISPCC
By
Since the Wispa was relaunced in Ireland and UK, 70 million bars have been sold. That’s 70 million bars in about 10 weeks or 1,700,000 kilos of sugar or 14.7 Billion calories of chocolatey goodness consumed. That’s A LOT – but not entirely surprising given the love out there for the Wispa bar.
Delighted to read this morning about the Wispa T-shirt which has gone on sale in Arnotts and Sabotage in Dublin and Store in Cork. €10 from the sale of each €29 tee will go to the ISPCC and, more specifically, their Teenfocus service.
Teenfocus :
“aims to support young people, who may be feeling isolated, and gives the necessary supports to overcome the difficulties.”
The t-shirt was designed by NCAD embroidery student Tammy Larkin who hails from Gorey in Co. Wexford. She chose the theme “Sweet Sound of the 80s” as the inspiration for the production of the t-shirt. Speaking to the Gorey Echo, Tammy said:
“My design inspiration was influenced by an 80s atmosphere and style with a contemporary twist. I wanted to bring the Wispa image into the 21st Century but still giving it an 80s vibe.
“I concentrated on the trend of big headphones which was popular to both male and females in the 80s and today.”
It’s a fabulous design and sure to be a great success. Stylebible.ie also have a competition running to win one – so click on over there if you’re feeling lucky.
