Back of fag box book review – Off the Beaten Track
By

Text of review above reads:
The presenter of Irish TV programme No Frontiers recalls nine of her favourite trips since starting work on the show as a 22 year old in 2001. The title of the book is a give away to the destinations written about.
They are places most people would never dream of going on holiday – The Antarctica, Senegal, Mali, Vietnam and Ethiopia to name a few. Thomas paints wonderful pictures of the places she has been and the people she has met along the way. A running theme through the book is that travel has had a big impact on her outlook on life.
Her conversational writing style makes this a thoroughly enjoyable read. Only black mark is the 20 Euro price tag for the book which is more than the normal price of a paperback.
