The Large Hadron Collider and the End of The World
BySo CERN are switching on this big machine to recreate the big bang, or something. Wednesday is the day when the experiment goes ahead. Some speculation as to what will happen after the experiment. Will the earth be sucked into the black hole?
Some photoshopping follows on how the actual end of the world news might be greeted in the Irish blog world.

I tell you, if they do create a black hole and the planet implodes or explodes I’m going to be a bit cross and Rachel will be livid.
We just spent Sunday assembling a new bike rack for the car – Swedish “simplicity of design” is a lie – and Rachel was planning to spend the day painting and I was going to write. We now need to catch up on this “lost” day during the week.
Who do I need to complain to if the world does end?

Is anyone else having Dan Simmons Hyperion flash backs? The AI’s are doing this just to get us to disperse across the universe.

@Paul All complaints to “The Source c/o,Somewhere over the rainbow”
@Dan – I’m going to have to do some Googling to get the references.
@John – I noticed your name coming up on Twinkle on the iPhone whenever I did a search so it was in my mind when I thought of some blogs to include this evening. Sorry if I offended, I know your blog and you are more than a twitter account, but as I say, it was just the number of appearances you made on my iPhone

Jesus no offence taken at all, I love it and am thrilled to have my header shopped so well. I am abusing twinkle and twitter as anyone would tell you, and I have seen that nearby page fill up quite rapidly when its a quiet, for others day.

I love CERN.
See all those Chris Morris bits and pieces about them? they’re not funny, but interesting nonetheless

Well, you gave me a good laugh on the way out. Our only hope is that the black hole gets clogged up with cosmic hair and soap scum.

@John – phew. You’re a good sport.
@B’dum – I didn’t but will check them out thanks
@GI Glad you enjoyed!

Excellent work AJ, great laugh!

Fuck that. It would take more than the Earth being sucked into a black hole to get me inside a church.

It turns out that they only did running tests. They didn’t cross the streams…
I’m waiting for the Ghostbusters van to show up at CERN now.
