First it was Bertie the TV Presenter. Now it’s Bertie the Chef.
He has penned a mouth watering recipe for a new book called “Celebrity Kitchen” which will go on sale soon in aid of the Niall Mellon Township Trust.
99 other well known Irish faces have thrown their culinary spoon into the mix as well such as Pat Shortt (Smoked Fish Pie – very disappointing no Jumbo roll), Sharon Corr (Thai Chicken Salad. That’ll never fatten the sister up), Holly White of Dan and Beck’s fame has Roast Chicken (that’s like sooooo boring).
Others to include recipes include Gerry Adams, John O’Donoghue and David Norris. Suggestions on a postcard as to what recipes they came up with?
Back to celebrity-in-chief-Ahern. He came up with Coddle – surprised? Nah, it seems about right. You’ll need rashers, sausages, onions, potatoes and parsley. Lash them all in a pot for 90 minutes. Thats’ about it. mmmm, delish.
Someone will find a role for Bertie yet. Hopefully he can start paying for his own office renovations then. The big muppet.
