Rhapsody on a Theme of Tee Shirts, Op. 43

Writing by aj@lecraic on Wednesday, 30 of July , 2008 at 8:03 pm

Michele Neylon kicked it off today with his Cool Tshirt Makes Me Want To Have Children (sort of!) post.

With the summer that’s (not) in it, I thought I’d add my own must buy tee shirt.

First I thought I’d go for this one from Discoo.co.uk but it’s really the kind of tee shirt that a 16 year old would wear.

Tomatotee

I’ve settled on this as my must have instead. It’s the “Evolution Tee” from Glennz Tees – a design classic.

Any good tee designs that caught your attention lately? Blog about it and let me know thanks :-)

AJ, I sincerely hope that my own nearly 17 year old’s language skills stretch a little further than repeating the f word ad nauseam. However, I will take his vote and let you know. Felix is amassing an interesting collection of T-shirts; as you can imagine, him being a skateboarder with long blond hair, heavily into music, photography and filming they need to be super cool. And they are.

He is the guy who bought a tiny little badge some years ago, black on white: “Life is too short to dance with ugly women.” Maybe something you have your own thoughts on.

To broaden the subject, and one that baffles me: How do youngsters recognize which “group” someone belongs to just by looking at what they are wearing? Do adults do the same? And no, I do not sport twinsets and pearls.

Well in ireland anyway, there is pretty much the one uniform - the tracksuit or general casual wear. Goths are in evidence too, especially in Dublin. I never judge a person by what they wear though. If they smell bad, I tend to have a problem. I also have obsessive need to keep my personal space . It’s not all people that I have this with, but I am extremely sensitive to vibes I pick up and act accordingly.

Classic one Darren - what sort of reaction do you get when you wear it?
