Thinking caps on
ByHere’s a quiz question I heard last night and it’s sure to get your brain into gear on this lovely summer morning
What links the following 3 :
- A clown that claims to be the second most recognised figure in the world
- A writer that inspired an egg dish
- A rodent that was once a common site in the early mornings
If you do get it, let me know in the comments as I need to know who’s a clever clogs. Don’t reveal the answer though, that would spoil the fun. No googling either.
Update : Answer is posted at http://tinypaste.com/bf5e2

I think I know, but that would mean your quizmaster made a mistake with the rodent.

Yeah the answers I got two 1 and 3 are very similar but not the same.

Damn you, AJ, don’t I have more urgent things to do than to agonize over your quiz?
I know the writer and his egg – but then I do read and cook, enthusiastically, so no prizes there. As to the rodent there was one I used to chase, in my nighty, round the garden at five in the morning – and if I had had a gun, by god, I would have used it in defense of my plants. The clown is the part of my CV I tend to be rather mute about. To my shame, about twenty years ago, I worked for a company which helped him (the clown) to build his ever expanding empire all over the British Isles. What links them all? Give me time. And I won’t cheat.
In the meantime maybe you’d care to answer how you’d put a giraffe into a fridge – and no, not into one of those American Smeg numbers.

I’m stumped. The egg thing is killing me. All I can get is eggs benedict, but he was a banker methinks? Pope Benedict went to a Ronald McDonald house in NYC a while back, but the rodent?

I believe I know, but I could be wrong. One of these things is not like the other, one of these things is kinda of the same.
