Mobile Barcode craze

Previously on le craic….
Back in April I mentioned an application you can put on your mobile phone that reads special barcodes. Apparantly they are all the rage in Japan.
People are putting them on headstones, t-shirts and in Italy a newspaper is using them too.
Don’t know if it will catch on here, but I think it could be put to good use but only if a barcode reader is installed on phones here as standard.
Looks like you might be a new visitor to le craic. If you like what you see here and fancy some daily diversions delivered to your favourite feed reader, why not click to join Club le craic. Go raibh maith agat! Thanks a thousand!

Mobile barcodes?
My dear AJ, no sooner have I found you and I am lost.
Or am I in the first - premature - stages of scattering vitally important brain cells?

Ursula, you’ve lost me entirely - I have no clue what your comment is meant to mean. I’m a simple chap and a lover of plain English - can you rephrase?

Well, AJ, dear simple chap, it appears that you and I are a match made in fairy tale land: We are both lost so, like Hansel and Gretel, let’s hold hands and venture further into the woods.
To give you your due, maybe I should have clued myself up on what you talked about in the first place. I have noticed that blogs do make one skim the surface of what is being said instead of looking at anything in depth. I shall reform and report back to you - in the plainest English I can find lying around.
U
