I’m sure this is the answer to every woman’s dreams but can any woman explain the need to wear heels. They don’t impress me much.

Dear AJ, whatever that advert is about, it’s not a woman’s dream; and it sounds a man’s nightmare.
Heels are between a woman and herself; and if I’d try to explain the allure to a man who can’t see my suitably attired feet in the flesh we’d still be here in three days’ time. Why don’t you watch “Some like it Hot”; maybe Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis tottering along on their way to catch the train will convert you.
Should I ever make it to your shores I promise not to spike your lawn (though aeration does wonders), and if we do go for a walk suitable foot wear will be found, somewhere in my luggage.

PS I recently lamented not being able to afford this season’s perfect peep toes designed by Alexander McQueen for my good self. Paul of grovesmedia fame had nothing but sympathy for my plight.

Have seen some like it hot, but I still don’t get it!

It’s ok, AJ. We don’t need to get everything all of the time.
I’ll bring my wellies and my clogs and we’ll be just fine. Though I do stop short at furry slippers.
