Can you feel it?

Seeing that a fair few visitors to le craic arrived by doing a search for craic, I went and searched for craic to see what is out there.

Feelthecraic.com is a tourism site and I immediately figured it must be for somewhere in Ireland but it’s for Newcastle, Gateshead and Sunderland in England. They say on the site that

“it is said that 40% of North-Easterners have Irish ancestors and we think the influence is strong…. we say “The Crack” rather than “The Craic” but you get our meaning: we know how to have fun.”

Well then they shouldn’t have used our word craic then, should they? Feckers with their flat caps and Hovis bread, stealing our craic
