Did you buy your big word yet?

Paddy and Lee are 2 guys studying in the University of Ulster in Belfast. They launched a website on 25^th February called The Big Word Project. The idea is simple. You buy a word on their website and that word is then linked to your website. Some might say that it is a little bit like that Million Dollar Homepage website in the way that you are buying a “slot” on the site. 

I prefer BWP though, as there is the curiosity factor of visiting and doing a search for a word to see what site is tied to that word. It seems to me that this site will continue to get visitors into the future, whereas the Million Dollar Homepage probably doesn’t get a whole ton any more. They have just cracked the 4,000 word mark and are still going strong.

Craic wasn’t on the list of words on the site, so I emailed and they added it for me, so now when you search for craic, it’s linked to le craic!

So, what word would you buy for your blog or website?
