Thanks Wicklow News newspaper. The headline was good but the picture really makes it. I’ve never laughed out loud reading a local newspaper before, so thumbs up.

Grannymar has trouble reading, letters jump about on the page. Mind you if the letter ‘e’ doesn’t stay where it should be somebody will have trouble

I once won a pair of underpants, it was a fantasy headline text competition at the start of the Iraqi invasion. I put in “Coke sponsors US forces in Iraq, Pepsi in talks with Saddam” and signed it Noam Chomsky. I was a runner up and got Y-fronts (unused!) signed by the radio presenters.

My favourite is the “Editor’s Blog” in a Donegal Newspaper a while back. The print edition by the way.

Actually I won tickets to see Tommy Tiernan from the same radio station involving inserting the word underpants into a film title. I blew away the competition with “Black underpants down”
