Hurrah for the new Bus Eireann website that doesn’t want my money
ByThey’ve gone and jazzed it all up. Look at it, it’s all shiny and new.

It looks lovely, but the ticket booking part isn’t working and I’ve been trying to book my ticket for tomorrow for the last 45 minutes. Grr… I’m giving up on it now. Teething problems I’m sure. Now I’ll have to run the gauntlet of not having the right change in the morning for a weekly ticket whose cost I do not know. I’ll stick a €50 in my pocket and hope for the best!
Looks like you might be a new visitor to le craic. If you like what you see here and fancy some daily diversions delivered to your favourite feed reader, why not click to join Club le craic. Go raibh maith agat! Thanks a thousand!

It’s a bit shit that they haven’t linked the ‘Buy Tickets’ bit to the timetables bit… I mean, it’s so right there in your face, but when you select your to and from destinations, just a ticket-buying thing comes up. Would it have been so hard to incorporate the bus times into this?
I’d be willing to bet that more people use the site for timetables than they do to buy tickets – shame both functions aren’t together, would have been great!

I didn’t think of that Shellybell but now that you say it, it would make a lot of sense to link the two.

tipical Irish way of doing things huh! do you ever visit a offical irish goverment website it reminds me of this the way they have all routes listed as a different pdf file to open what an ineffieent way of doing things and working no wonder Ireland has fell behind.
Even worse is revenue.ie it does a great job of confusing you of course which is its objective after all $$$$
I mean it makes me sick bus eirean will put this shit up and then when you go to the deck they seem as if you should know this already if your a loyal subscriber of bus eirean service.
any way my point is people are awful ineffieent here and if we were to be better we could easily have the amount of work needed by politicans and civil servents and make things clearer to the public
of course only if that fits in with their objectives!
