Smiling girl says yes, no, maybe. I don’t know

I’m undecided what way to vote in the upcoming referendum on the Lisbon Treaty.
Seeing the referendum commission advert about the treaty website, it only reminded me of the fact that I’m clueless about what way to vote. So I decided to fix that this weekend by spending time yesterday and today trying to understand it all. The upshot of this research is that I’m a little bit wiser, but still not decided. The RTE website was a great help – 10/10 to them for that and their advertising of Solpadeine as the perfect solution after reading the text of the treaty. Also read United Irelander’s post Eu havin’ a laugh.
The Red C poll back in February showed that 46% were in favour, 23% against, and 31% undecided. Given the sceptical nature of Irish people and our inherent rebellious streak, I’m surprised at the high number of stated yes voters. Do they know more than I know? Have they looked closely at the yes and no side in detail? I wish I could be as sure, but as a prime candidate for world’s number 1 procrastinator, my wish is not easily granted.
Still, I hold out hope that I will get over this difficulty in coming to a decision. I don’t want to vote yes because that’s what the majority of political parties are saying. I don’t want to vote yes because I couldn’t be arsed to read up on what I’m voting for. I’ll only be happy to place my vote when I feel I’ve done my homework.

But then I see the lovely Lisbon Treaty girl smiling at me on the Referendum Commission website and I think to myself, maybe she is a sign I should vote yes. Smiling and happy = a good thing. Lisbon treaty = good. Yes = good.
I think the Referendum Commission may have swayed me to the yes camp, with the help of a smiling girl. Thank you refcom, don’t know what I would have done without your help.
Have you decided what way to vote yet?
