Ode to the Goliath in us all

Glad to see the dispute between Pat Kenny and his neighbour has been settled.
Pat was at pains to point out that his neighbour wasn’t a ‘poor old man’ set upon by a media god.
He said some people who were in court may have thought it was a David and Goliath battle, but it was not. He said it was a dispute between him and a neighbour, who is a successful and experienced solicitor and an owner of properties.
Secretly, I’ll bet Pat does see himself as a Goliath figure. I can visualise him doing Alan Partridge tiger roars in the mirror before the Late Late Show on a Friday nght. AHA!
I feel a poem is in order on this day of days
There are heroes who walk among us
never looking for glory or praise
They don’t seek recognition
for their thoughtful, caring ways.
Living lives of deep commitment
providing for those they hold dear
Steadfast with a quiet strength
through times of laughter and tears.
You are a person like that to me
The most selfless man by far
So Pat, I’d like to thank you
For being the HERO that you are.
All joking aside, it’s good to see it was resolved without judgement. In an ideal world, all disputes would be settled by reasonable discussion.
